Introduction: Race Tipple Display
When participating in races you're always left with your numbered tipple and sometimes medals as souvenirs.
Instead of throwing them all out I've been safekeeping my racing bibs and medals in a pile connected my bookshelf.
After walking around the craft store a few multiplication I've finally come ascending with a dandy way to display them all on my wall using a poster frame, sparkle board and some bollock chain.
This board could also make up a great gift for a racing friend OR dearest to display totally of their accomplishments.
After assembling all the materials this project volition take less than 30 minutes to realized!
Mistreat 1: Materials Necessary
For this project you'll need the following items:
- Poster Frame – 2 x 3 foot poster frame used in that example
- Screw driver – Used to assemble frame if required
- Blackened Foam Board – Put-upon as a backer panel (should be same size as frame)
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue – Exploited to hold Ball Chain in situ (a couple of little sticks will cost required operating room unity long stick)
- Ball Chain and Connectors – Used to hold bibs and to hold frame to bulwark (20 - 25 hoof spool, one connector)
- Cutter Tool – Misused to cut ball range to distance
- Tape – Used to measure and space the rows accurately
- Collecting of Racing Bibs and Medals to constitute displayed
- Condom Pins to attach the Bibs to the Ball Chain
Whole tone 2: Assembly
- Insert the foam board loosely into the frame. Use a love driver if required to secure the frame. You could also usage some wrapping or liaison paper if you require the back to look much stimulating than plain black.
- Touchstone out the ball chain and cut into 4 pieces for each one a little o'er 3 feet. The duplicate length is used to insert the chain into the hot glue that will hold it in place.
- Measure out and mark the locations where you will be placing the rows of ball chain. For a 2 base long-stalked frame I'll represent placing a quarrel every 6 inches.
Carry note that in that location's a row along the top but there isn't a row at the bottom. Use the picture as an example.
- Glue the Ball chain into place. Think back to use a good amount of hot glue. It has to constitute strong enough to apply the burthen of your bibs that will be attached later.
- At the bottom two corners of the frame use hot mucilage to hold the foam board in place. No chain is used on the bottom edge.
- On the hindmost of the frame use the extra length of bollock chain and a connector to act the frame supported wire. You could also use of goods and services touchstone wire.
Tread 3: Ultimate Product
You're done!
You should have 4 rows of ball chain across the front and a chain or wire on the spinal column of the underframe for pendant.
At this point wee-wee sure to inspect the hot glue holding your strand in place and add additional hot gum pro re nata. These anchors need to represent able to hold the weight of your bibs.
Step 4: Hanging down Methods
Now it's prison term to take your bibs and safety pins and attach the bibs to the rows of ball chain of mountains. Use your creative thinking! You buns hang from one side or both sides. You can besides interconnect bibs together to make your ain look.
For racing medals you can coil them or so the hindmost dangling Sir Ernst Boris Chain or conducting wire so they hang over the top edge of the draw up. Keep in mind you need to balance the weight of your medals then the frame hangs equally.
